Snacking is a bad habit that we’ve grown used to but what makes it worse, is that finding healthy snacks is really hard. Nearly every snack in the super market is made from artificial flavors, additives, colors, GMOs and more. While we think fruits, seeds, veggies and nuts make the best snacks, here are some store-bought snacks that are actually healthy. Just keep in mind that they should be eaten in moderation.
1. Organic Pops by YumEarth
An old kids favorite, lollipops are becoming a rarity among kids candy. This is because most of the lollipops are completely artificial. YummyEarth introduced a lollipop that we can actually call healthy. Although, high in sugar, these lollipops are completely natural. And from what we hear it is completely delicious as well. Our only concern is the brown rice syrup, but since it is not the main ingredient, the content of it is relatively small it leaves little to be concerned about for now. Typically, we’d say be cautioned if you see “natural flavors” but this company actually means natural.
These squeezable packs may seem like something that only parents pack their kids. However, these packs are extremely convenient to bring anywhere. Just pop it in a backpack on a hiking trip or put it in your briefcase to work. It is a bit high in sugar, but the sugar is all natural and as long as you limit yourself to one per day, it can actually be a healthy replacement for a snack. There are plenty of fruity flavors to choose from.

3. Mish Mash Apple Cinnamon, Oats and Quinoa by Plum Organics
Yes, we do love the squeezable packs and their convenience. We chose to include this particular squeezable pack because of the awesome flavors it offers. apple cinnamon, oats and quinoa is our personal favorite, but there are many interesting flavors to choose from. This pack contains less sugar than the GoGo Squeez.

We love what Envirokidz has done in the cereal foods industry. They brought an arsenal of organic products, and have plenty of gluten-free option as well. These are healthy and crunchy corn spheres that make an awesome snack. The ingredient list is short and understandable. Hats off to Envirokidz to participating in “1% for the planet” cause as well.
YumEarth makes yet another appearance on our favorite snacks list. Everyone loves fruit snacks, however these are one of the only fruit snacks that actually use real fruit ingredients rather than just artificial flavors. They are a bit high in sugar.
Ingredients: Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Sugar, Pectin, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Organic Juice Concentrates (Carrot, Apple, Pumpkin, Radish, Black Currant), Juice Concentrate (Carrot, Hibiscus), Ascorbic Acid.
It’s tough to find a gluten-free bar that is actually made of high quality ingredients. Macrobar is one of the few bars that we found that accomplished both. It’s great tasting with simple ingredients and great flavor. This is our favorite flavor, and it is the lowest out of three in sugar. However, it is still a bit high with 11g.
This hard candy by GoNaturally only uses three simple ingredients to produce delicious hard candy. Surprisingly, a single piece contains only 2.5 g of natural sugar, which is not that much compared to other hard candy. It should be enough to satisfy your sugar cravings.
If you don’t have gluten-intolerance, this is a fantastic cereal with great ingredients. There are no added flavors, colors and our favorite part is that it’s completely sugar free! Which is hard to say for 99% of the cereals on the market today. Cut up some strawberries, add almond milk and it will make a delicious and nutritious breakfast.
These apple chips are a fantastic snack because they are as close to pure as possible with only one ingredient – apples. And who doesn’t love apples? These are baked, crispy and delicious. It will be hard to stop yourself from eating the whole bag.
