This is by far one of my favorite healthy snacks in my house. The Doctor Kracker crispbreads are organic and whole grain. Whenever I’m hungry I either eat a few of these by itself or sometimes I’ll top it off with whatever is in my fridge. For example homemade almond curd as seen in the picture, or tuna.. Tastes great with anything because of it’s simplicity.
Each piece contains 4 grams of protein! Awesome. Also 3 grams of fiber, and 16g whole grain.
The ingredients are very simple and healthy.
I buy these at Wegmans. If you are looking for healthy, organic crackers, these are one of the best.
Here is a sample recipe from the DrKracker website:
(Spring) Salmon Sliders
1 piece Seeded Spelt Crispbread
1 – 2 Tbsp. Cream Cheese
1 ounce Smoked Salmon (sliced)
Dill (to garnish)
Spread the cream cheese on Crispbread. Add sliced salmon and garnish with dill. A hearty alternative to “lox & bagels”.
*may use capers or chives as a substitute garnish.
